Want to make a difference in a child's education?
The Early Academic Outreach Program (EAOP), in conjunction with the UCI Center For Educational Partnerships (CFEP), is looking for energetic, dynamic and motivated UCI students to be mentors for students in Orange and Los Angeles counties.
What Does EAOP Do? Employment Qualifications
Early Academic Outreach Student Coordinators visit middle and high schools to help students prepare for college. We offer a variety of activities designed to develop their academic skills and to strengthen their college eligibility. The UCI student staff provide one-on-one advising and assistance for topics such as:

• College Requirements
• UC Application & Personal Statement
• SAT Information
• Financial Aid
• UCI Field Trips

  • Current UCI student
  • Minimum 2.5 GPA
  • Drivers License
  • Personal transportation with insurance preferred
  • Workstudy encouraged
  • Available to work in evenings and on Saturdays
  • Willing to travel to designated school sites
  • Willing to be finger-printed and TB tested

Saturday Academy in Mathematics (S.A.M.)
We are also looking for tutors for our Saturday Academy in Mathematics (SAM). SAM helps middle school students acquire Algebra skills through fun and active learning! SAM tutors should be:

• Interested in tutoring and/or teaching
• Enjoy working with middle school students
• Possess a good understanding of algebraic concepts
