What We Do
The Early Academic Outreach Program (EAOP) aims to prepare students for postsecondary educational opportunities. EAOP representatives provide academic preparation and advising to high school students to ensure they go beyond minimum requirements and become competitive college applicants. They monitor student performance, provide support and assistance when needed, and meet with students on a regular basis.
There are four Program Standards that frame EAOP and the work we do: (1) Academic Enrichment, (2) Academic Advising, and (3) College Knowledge.
Academic
Enrichment
EAOP participants are given the opportunity to improve basic academic skills, master advance high school curriculum, and to participate in university research projects.
Academic
Advising
EAOP participants receive an Individual Academic Plan (IAP) and ongoing advising to ensure that they successfully complete the required ‘A-G’ course expectations.
College
Knowledge
EAOP participants, along with their families, and educators at their schools will receive timely, appropriate, and necessary information to prepare them for a postsecondary education.
